Understanding God’s Secrets

Deut. 29:29  The secret [things belong] unto the LORD our God: but those [things which are] revealed [belong] unto us and to our children for ever, that [we] may do all the words of this law.

God's intention is for us to understand His secrets.

Luke 8:17    For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither [any thing] hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.

There is nothing that is in secret that will not be made manifest.  God doesn’t want His secrets to remain secrets.  He desires to reveal them to those who fear Him.

1Cor. 2:9-12  But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.  But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.  For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.  Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

It is God's desire to reveal His secrets.  Many don't understand the way God thinks, because they don't know His secrets.

Isa. 55:8-9  For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD.  For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

It is God's intention to reveal His thoughts to you.  When God reveals them to you, they belong to you.

2 Pet. 1:2-4  (amp.)  May grace (God’s favor) and peace, (which is perfect well-being, all necessary good, all spiritual prosperity and freedom from fears and agitating passions and moral conflicts) be multiplied to you in (the full, personal, precise and correct) knowledge of God and of Jesus our Lord.  For His divine power has bestowed upon us all things that [are requisite and suited] to life and godliness, through the (full, personal) knowledge of Him Who called us by and to His own glory and excellence (virtue).  By means of these He has bestowed upon us His precious and exceedingly great promises, so that through them you may escape (by flight) from the moral decay (rottenness and corruption) that is in the world because of covetousness (lust and greed), and become sharers (partakers) of the divine nature.

The more you see of God, the more grace and peace you have working in your life.

We have access to the things of God through the knowledge of God.  When you see them, you have the ability to use them.  It will give you the power you need to escape the corruption of the world.

Deut. 8:18  But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for [it is] he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as [it is] this day.

There is a reason God reveals His secrets.  God wants to give you revelation of His secrets, to establish His covenant, not to promote your ego.

God's secrets aren't vain imaginations that you muster up in the scriptures.  The Lord says that if you see Him, you shall be like Him.  If you're truly seeking the secrets of the Lord, you will become like Him.  You will receive more humility, love, grace and power.

We're in a day where people are seeking revelation, but they are seeking it for revelation's sake, rather than seeking God for God's sake.

His secrets are not for your personal gain, but for establishing God's kingdom and purposes through you.

Eph. 1:15-17  Wherefore I also, after I heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus, and love unto all the saints,  Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers;  That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him.

This is the apostle Paul's prayer inspired by the Holy Spirit for us.  This is God's prayer for you, therefore it cannot fail.

God wants to give us the spirit of wisdom and revelation so we can know His secrets.  Remember, revelation is the ability to see what you could not see before.

It is God's will for us to know His secrets.  What are these secrets of God?  They are the deep, intimate revelations or knowledge of Him.

God does not reveal His secrets to everyone.  Consider your friends.  All of us have someone we confide in,  someone we can share our intimate secrets with.  We do not tell our secrets to everyone.  They are secrets because we choose to withhold them from the general public.

We are created in the image of God.  God desires and longs to reveal Himself to you, but He only reveals it to those who fear Him.  God does not want us to misappropriate His secrets.  If your purpose for seeking out God's secrets is for your own personal gain, you will not receive God's true revelational secrets.

We wouldn't share our secrets or revelations with those who we know would use it for selfish gain.  God wants us to know Him intimately, not for what we can get out of it.  When you see it and you use it for His kingdom you will be blessed.

Can God trust you with His secrets?  What have you done with the secrets He has already given you?  Can He trust you with deeper secrets?  Do you cherish them and cultivate them so that they grow?  Do you use them for the purpose of establishing His kingdom?

It is God's good pleasure to give you the kingdom.  Can God trust you with it?  Can He trust you to use His secrets for His purposes?

Repent of not using what God has given you for His purposes.

Eph. 1:18-19  The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,  And what [is] the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power.

When you see it, then you’ve got it!

If you want to know the intimate secrets of God, get to know Him intimately.  Don’t seek His secrets for your own personal gain, but for the benefit of the Kingdom.
