Writing the Word on Your Heart
Part 2
We have been freed from
the control of our sinful nature, but there are still deep rooted belief systems
that are based upon the carnal nature.
The closer you get to
God, the easier it is to give up those things of the sinful nature. There comes a point where the Word of God
becomes so written on your heart, that it becomes easy to obey God's Word.
1 Cor.
2:9-16 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard,
neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared
for them that love him. But God
hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the
deep things of God. For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which
is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. Now we have received, not the spirit of the
world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are
freely given to us of God. Which
things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth,
but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing
spiritual things with spiritual.
But the natural man receiveth not the things
of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know
[them], because they are spiritually discerned.
But he that is spiritual judgeth all things,
yet he himself is judged of no man. For
who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the
mind of Christ.

The things according to
God are contrary to the things according to man. Man's nature and God's nature do not
blend. The heathen cannot understand
spiritual truths as long as they remain in a degenerated state. The natural mind cannot understand the things
of God because it is foreign to them.
Eph.
We are not from the
natural world. We are from a heavenly
kingdom.
It is impossible to
become saved on your own. There are many
people who know every scripture, can quote many verses, but are not truly
born-again. This is because the natural
mind cannot understand the things of God unless it is revealed to him by the Spirit.
Without understanding
the things of God, faith cannot be released.
Without faith, it is impossible to please God.

Many come to an altar
and pray, but truly have not become born-again, because the Word was not
written on their heart. Many try to come
to God through their intellect or natural understanding. It must be through the Spirit of God.
In order to take on a
new belief system, you must be willing to discard the old one. The battle is whether to keep your old life
or to have Jesus.
We have got to get to
the place where the Word of God is so alive in us that it literally transforms
us.
