LESSON
37
The Power of His Might
Eph. 6:10-18 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the
Lord, and in the power of HIS MIGHT. Put on the whole armor of God, that ye may be
able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities,
against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against
spiritual wickedness in the high [places].
Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to
withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about
with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousnes; and your feet shod
with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of
faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the
wicked. And take the helmet of
salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and
supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perservence and
supplication for all saints.

This is not a
promise. It is a command.
For the next several
months we are going to use this portion of scriptures as our launching
point. We are going to discover one of
the most important truths in the Word that will enable us to fulfill God’s
end-time plan.
God never intended for
you to suffer any defeats, yet many Christians live their life lacking
victory. I am not saying that you will
never have trouble, on the contrary, you will have many trials and
tribulations. What I am saying is that
it has always been God’s intention for you to overcome in every situation and
circumstance.
In approaching the
subject of the Armor of God we are first going to focus on the position that
God intended us to fight from.
Eph.
Be strong IN THE
LORD. This is not just a promise or a
blessing, it is a command!!!
God never asked us to
face the devil in our own strength or power.
Zec. 4:6 Then
He answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the Lord unto
Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by My Spirit,
saith the Lord of hosts.

We won't be able to
stand in these evil days on our strength, in our abilities or in our
power.
Luke 21:25-26 And there shall be signs in the sun, and in
the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with
perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for
fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth:
for the powers of heaven shall be shaken.
Fear and terror will
grip this land, but not the child of God.
Psa. 91:7 A thousand shall fall at thy side,
and ten thousand at thy right hand; [But] it shall not come nigh thee.
90% of Christians walk
in their own strength. They learn the
Christian lingo, how to work the Christian system, and they manipulate their
daily circumstances. They do it all in
their own natural strength, natural understanding and natural abilities. Therefore, they become worn out, discouraged,
depressed, and frustrated with God. Then
they quit, backbite, and complain.
Unfortunately, we've
learned in the Pentecostal and charismatic movements to live our Christian walk
going from one supernatural experience to another supernatural experience. Don't diminish your supernatural
experiences, but you can not live your Christianity that way.
Supernatural experiences
are vital to our Christianity, however, when the experience is over you must
have something left. Many today don’t
have anything left so they have to keep running back to some meeting or
conference to get another experience, or spiritual fix . You must learn to walk in the abiding
presence of God that empowers you continually.
Your Christian walk
needs to go from prayer time to prayer time.
Larry Lea says it this way, "Jesus went from prayer to prayer, and
in between He performed miracles."
Deut. 20:2-4 And it shall be, when ye are come nigh
unto the battle, that the priest shall approach and speak unto the people, And shall say unto them, Hear, O Israel, ye
approach this day unto battle against your enemies: let not your hearts
faint, fear not, and do not tremble, neither be ye terrified because of
them; For the LORD your God [is]
he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.

Josh. 1:9 Have not I commanded thee? Be strong
and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the
LORD thy God [is] with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Isa. 35:3-4 Strengthen
ye the weak hands, and confirm the feeble knees. 4 Say
to them [that are] of a fearful heart, Be strong, fear not: behold, your
God will come [with] vengeance, [even] God [with] a recompence; he will come
and save you.
Don't be afraid or
shaken by what's going on around you, but be strong in the Lord and the power
of HIS might that you may be able to stand.
Gen. 1:1,3 In
the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was
light.
When God speaks, it
comes to pass. Inside the Word is the
faith to bring it to pass.
God is speaking "Be
strong" into your spirit. The same
God that said "Let there be light" and there was light, is now saying
"Be strong."
Eph.
Col. 1:9-11 For
this cause we also, since the day we heard [it], do not cease to pray for you,
and to desire that ye might be filled with the knowledge of his will in all
wisdom and spiritual understanding; That
ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every
good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according
to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with
joyfulness.

Jesus ever liveth to
intercede for us. Jesus is praying
"Father, make them strong."
Rom.
Isa. 40:29-31 He giveth power to the faint; and to
[them that have] no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths
shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall
renew [their] strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they
shall run, and not be weary; [and] they shall walk, and not faint.
Be strong in the Lord
and the power of HIS might. There is a
place of relationship with God that will provide to you a continual supply of
supernatural power that will enable you to stand no matter what comes your way.
Say aloud.. “I will be
strong in the Lord and the power of HIS might.”
